Margaritë Camaj grew up in the Bronx, New York, but has Albanian roots. She received her Bachelor's Degree in History, Spanish, and Theology from Fordham University and will be graduating Law School in May 2016. Margaritë has been writing since she was seven years old. She has self-published two works of literature: her novel, He Will Existand her poetry book, Souls Up. She calls writing, "her only way to survive in a world that constantly tries to destroy the soul." "It is my escape," she says. She writes about everything, but love is her favorite topic. She believes that love is the most powerful thing to exist even though humans are flawed. She also has a deep passion for uniting the youth of this Albanian generation. She hopes to bring to light the issues present in the Albanian community, as well as other issues throughout the boroughs of New York City. She calls the children who grow up in these areas without many opportunities, "The Rare Roses Of New York City."
